Dante’s Inferno trailer reminiscent of God of War

For some reason, the new gameplay trailer for Dante’s Inferno reminds me of God of War. It must be the pseudo-mythological imagery, combat, and third-person camera distance shown in the video. Have a look:
Oddly enough, Dante’s Inferno doesn’t show any blood—the fluids spurting from enemy carcasses are colored bright orange. Could EA be aiming for T for Teen rating? Not with the game’s sexy time, I’d bet. I have a feeling that like God of War, Dante’s Inferno is going to show a “mature” scene or two. Proof: check out what that shadow was doing to the woman during the earlier half of the video.
Is Dante’s Inferno going to be as good as God of War? Obviously, it’s too early to say. In any case, I will be looking forward to this game. If Dante’s Inferno would be even half as good as God of War, then consider me stoked, especially since EA’s upcoming hack-and-slash game is arriving a couple of months before God of War III.
That means I have something to tide me over for two more months. As for the stretch between today and January 2010, I’ll just have to look someplace else.
