It’s been a crazy week! Between playing Exteel (a PC MMO), WWE Smackdown vs. Raw (PSP version), Mirror’s Edge (PS3 version), and Luminous Arc 2 (DS), I also needed to write an article about each one. In between the mad rush, I found this video that would surely make Bon Jovi proud. Or Peter Frampton.

DS vs. PSP: The rant continues

My honeymoon with the PlayStation Portable is over. I admit I was enamored with the impressive hardware. What’s not to love? The PSP comes with a big-ass screen, sleek design, and an analog nub, among other things. The games are PRETTY. One look at Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII’s cinematic sequences is enough to make one forget, albeit briefly, that the system needs more good games this holiday season.

This router makes my life much easier.

This router makes my life much easier.

Since I’ve managed to accumulate a range of Wi-Fi-ready gadgets (i.e. a Wii, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, DS, and Nokia E61 smartphone), the next logical step in my personal tech and gaming evolution is to provide on-demand internet access without having to leave home.

Remember when I mentioned earlier this week that I was playing through Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia? It was for a review I was doing on the game, which was scheduled to be posted at Daily Nintendo. Well, the review is up so feel free to read it here.

In a nutshell, I loved Order of Ecclesia. I think it’s the best Castlevania on the DS to date, but don’t let that stop you from finding out why the game is fantastic. Apparently, video game pundits agree with me.

For gamers still unsure if Castlevania should be included in their holiday purchases, watch the IGN video review below to quell your doubts.

By the way, I’ve also handed in my review of NBA Live 09 for K-Zone Philippines. Good luck seeing it online though. K-Zone’s video game reviews are exclusively for print.

Despite my seemingly-light schedule this week, I need to finish a couple of games and roll out a review for each. First up is Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS, whose review would come out for Daily Nintendo. The second is NBA Live 2009 for the Sony PSP–its K-Zone review is due on Friday.

DS vs. PSP: the debate continues

My recent purchase of a PlayStation Portable hasn’t stopped me from spending extended periods of time with my Nintendo DS. Admittedly, there were a couple of weeks that I played the PSP nonstop, but this was because of its sheer novelty than anything else.

DS vs. PSP - the debate continues.
